Director of Hospitality

Born in 1969 in Kano Municipal Local Government Area of Kano State. He started and completed his primary and post-primary schools from 1981-1986. He then proceeded to Federal Polytechnic Mubi of former Gongola state and Federal Polytechnic Bauchi to obtained a National Diploma and Higher National Diploma in Hospitality Management. He later proceeded to the Bayero University in Kano where he obtained a post-graduate diploma and Master Degree in Business Management. Of recent, he completed his M.sc in Environmental Health from Maryam Abacha American University in Maradi, Niger Republic.

He started his work career in 1991 with Kano Club as the supervisor in-charge of catering operation. He then moved to De-Friendship Catering Services Ltd as the Senior Catering Supervisor and later moved to Kaduna and managed De-Friendship Motel at Television Garage which later saw his rise to the position of Asst. Food & Beverage Manager of Royal Tropicana Hotel Ltd in Kano State. He was a General Manager with Kano Durbar Hotel Ltd.

He joined the services of National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism (NIHOTOUR) in 1998 as higher instructor and rose to the position of Principal Lecturer with Hospitality Management Department. During the period of his services with NIHOTOUR, he has held different positions of responsibilities which include the Head of Department of Hospitality with NIHOTOUR Bagauda-Campus Kano, Manager in-charge of the institute training hotel named Rock Castle Resort Hotel Tiga Kano, the Head of Department of Consultancy and Planning of NIHOTOUR  Bagauda-Campus in Kano, the Head of Campus, NIHOTOUR Kaduna Training Center and finally the National Head of Hospitality Department, NIHOTOUR  Main Head Office in Abuja, Nigeria.

He has attended several courses both in Nigeria and Diaspora and some of these include, training development workshop with ITF, tourism as a catalyst for economic growth, West African perspective organized by Federal Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Hotel Service Course by Utali College Republic of Kenya,
