Nasarawa State Commissioner of Culture and Tourism, Mr. Shammah Dogo, in the company of two other Directors from the Ministry, paid a working visit to NIHOTOUR head office in Abuja. They were received by the Management of the Institute led by Nura Kangiwa – the Director General.

Discussion at the meeting centred on the modalities of a planned, and widely publicized, Tour Guide Operations training by NIHOTOUR for Nasarawa State Tourism officials and stakeholders. The training is part of NIHOTOUR’s contributions to manpower capacity and development of Tourism and Hospitality sectors in Nasarawa State.

It would be recalled that on March 27, 2021, the @FMICNigeria, led by Alhaji Lai Muhammed, accompanied by the Directors General of Director General NTDC and NIHOTOUR were in Nasarawa State for a 2-day visit where they met officials and appraised the developmental needs of some tourist sites including Farin Ruwa waterfalls and Doma Dam.
